this is apparently an experimental segway being worked on by DARPA.
it's got sensors on the front, and is supposed to be able to navigate a room full of obstacles.
you can't see it in the picture, but there's an emergency override control: a playstation looking controller.
the blue thing is the sensor, the gray box at the rear had a pcmcia card for two serial ports sticking out of it. obviously a keyboard, wireless access point, and lcd, and a little cpu below it.
